Meet the Founders

Mani Ahmadi — CEO
With over 26 years of experience in manufacturing across the aerospace, medical, and semiconductor industries, Mani brings deep industry insight and technical leadership to Syntho. He has led international organizations, and lived in China and Europe, delivering advanced production and quality control equipment. Mani holds a B.S. in Engineering from UC San Diego and an MBA from UC Irvine. He is the inventor on seven patents, including a system for tracking the performance and maintenance of automated dispensing systems.

Mazda Ahmadi – CTO
Mazda is a data scientist with 19 years of experience in machine learning, predictive modeling, and image classification. He has published over 20 research papers on AI topics and previously founded a company focused on AI-driven prediction algorithms. Mazda brings deep technical expertise to Syntho’s mission of transforming manufacturing quality through intelligent vision. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from UT Austin and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. He completed all Ph.D. requirements except final dissertation (ABD) at UT Austin, further strengthening his foundation in advanced machine learning research. Mazda mentors recent graduates from UC San Diego, guiding them in the practical application of machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Chris Marion — COO
Chris brings 28 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of leading operations and business units across the U.S. and Asia. He helped scale the manufacturing of automated systems to meet the early demands of the smartphone industry and later led product strategy and innovation as a business unit leader. Chris holds a B.S. in Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and an MBA from Cal State San Marcos. He currently serves on the CSU San Marcos STEM Advisory Committee, advising the School of Engineering on curriculum and workforce development.

A Golden Doodle, she loves taking long hikes and playing with her buddy Otto.

Otto
A Labradoodle, he’s the self-appointed head of perimeter defense, and Bailey’s little sidekick.
